Taliban release hostage

Lebanese engineer Safieddine Mohammad Rida, who was kidnapped on Sunday by the Taliban has been released after his company agreed to stop operations in Afghanistan.

No mention of a ransom being paid, but I'm sure there was.
The Taliban are famous for kidnapping anyone with the remotest and obscure connection to the west and then releasing them after receiving sums of money.
This is allowed under the Quran.

Seems Allah was a bit of an entrepreneur.

Islamic terrorists killed in Riyadh

Saudi Arabian police have killed a number of Islamic terrorists after conducting a raid on a house in Riyadh following a tip-off.
The death toll has not yet been released, though it's believed that there are no police among the casualities.

Those killed were linked to Osama Bin Laden's al-Qaeda network.
